What You'll Do
As a Fire Systems Alarm Mechanic, you will work as part of a team that helps keep schools and other facilities safe by inspecting, testing, maintaining, and servicing life-safety systems.
Responsibilities include:
Testing and inspecting fire alarm systems
Completing inspection and service reports using basic computer programs
Working directly with school district customers and facility staff
Learning industry standards, codes, and best practices through hands-on training

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Valid New York State Driver's License
Basic computer skills
Experience using hand tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Helpful, But Not Required
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
Maintenance or facilities work
Construction trades
Automotive repair
Electrical work
HVAC systems
Fire alarm systems
Fire extinguisher maintenance
Kitchen hood suppression systems
Schedule
This position involves working at multiple client locations throughout the Capital Region using company-provided service vehicles.
Most work is performed during second shift hours: 2:00 PM
Local travel using company vehicles is required.
Compensation:
$50,000
- $62,000 plus benefits
