Job Summary At United Fire Protection, we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to join our team and ensure the safety and security of commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to meet all safety standards and code requirements. Your expertise will help protect lives and property by ensuring fire detection systems operate flawlessly. Responsibilities Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire alarm systems. Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with NFPA and company standards. Identify code deficiencies and provide clear, professional recommendations for system improvements. Respond to emergency calls as required, including participation in nights, weekends, and on-call rotations. Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Document service activities accurately, including findings, work performed, and parts used. Maintain clear communication with customers, supervisors, and office staff regarding status, next steps, and any concerns. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, with technical or industry related experience preferred Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or service technician with a strong background in electrical systems and low voltage wiring. You have three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire alarm systems. You have NICET certification in water-based systems for inspection, testing, or layout. You have experience supporting both service and small project work, not just one or the other. You have worked across multiple manufacturers and are comfortable adapting to different panels and devices. You are known for clean, complete documentation, and for keeping customers informed without being prompted.

Pay:

$30.00 - $50.00 per hour
