Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, on-call rotation, overtime available

Full-time About the Role We're seeking a Fire Sprinkler Inspector/Technician to join our team performing inspections and service on fire protection systems throughout our service territory. This role offers a clear growth path — from Inspector I through Senior Inspector — with pay and responsibility scaling alongside your certifications and experience. We value ownership and accountability, and we're looking for someone who can operate independently while staying closely coordinated with our Inspection Coordinator and Service Manager. Responsibilities Perform inspections and service on Wet and Dry sprinkler systems, Pre-Action and Deluge systems, Fire Pumps, Standpipe Systems, and Backflow devices (exposure to Pre-Action/Deluge/Fire Pump/Standpipe preferred but not required — training provided) Complete inspection reports neatly, accurately, and in a timely fashion Review inspection results directly with customers Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order Learn and stay current on NFPA 25 codes and inspection/testing standards for water-based fire protection systems Coordinate closely with the Inspection Coordinator and Service Manager to ensure scheduled work is completed as promised Present information and respond to questions from lead inspectors, managers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) Deliver the highest level of customer service through quality work and clear communication
QualificationsRequired:
2+ years of experience performing fire sprinkler inspections and/or service High school diploma or GED Basic to moderate computer skills Valid driver's license, in accordance with company policy Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Strong communication skills with customers, AHJs, and management Preferred (not required — used for tier placement): NICET certification (any level) NY and/or NJ Backflow Testing License Experience or exposure to Pre-Action, Deluge, Fire Pump, or Standpipe systems Career Tiers & Pay Tier Requirements Pay Inspector I
  • 2+ yrs experience, no certification required
  • $25•30/hr Inspector II•NICET I and/or active backflow license, 3+ yrs•$31•35/hr Senior Inspector•NICET II+, fire pump/standpipe experience, 5+ yrs•$36•40/hr Candidates without certifications are encouraged to apply — we support and may sponsor NICET and backflow licensing for the right candidate.
