We are hiring for an Access Control Technician to join our Access Control division, to primarily focus on commercial projects. This position requires experience with low-voltage wiring, system integration, and troubleshooting; experience with commercial doors, hardware, and electronic security; along with a dedication to providing top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Mount and wire electrified hardware, such as electric strikes, magnetic locks, and electrified exit devices. Collaborate with integration partners and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of access control systems with existing security infrastructure. Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality and compliance with project requirements. Install, program, and troubleshoot access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric devices, and electronic locks. Provide training and support to end-users on system operation and maintenance. Document installation activities, including wiring diagrams, configuration settings, and system test results.
Qualifications & Skills:
2+ years' experience in access control installation, and electrified hardware. Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical specifications. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for access control and security system installation. Ability to work a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm ( or a similar schedule ) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
