About the Firestop Technician Role The Firestop Technician is a traveling technician, who inspects, installs and repairs firestop material in commercial and healthcare facilities across the U.S. The individual in this role will help facility managers meet compliance standards set by the National Fire Protection Association, the International Code Council, the Joint Commission, State Fire Marshals, Insurance Risk Auditors and other regulatory agencies which require the periodic inspection of passive fire protection systems.
