Fire Alarm Service Technician Trainee Plan-It Fire, LLC Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Full-time $15 - $20 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Qualifications English High school diploma or GED Driver's License Attention to detail Problem-solving Full Job Description Job Summary Assist technician in all aspects of installation, inspection and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems. Responsibilities and Duties Assist technician on Fire alarm & security installations Assist in troubleshooting several different systems and understand how to split a circuit to effectively troubleshoot ground faults. Assist in locating and correcting field problems (opens, grounds, shorts, crossed wires, etc.) Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered. Follow troubleshooting guidelines and refer to technical/parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose & repair equipment or systems. Complete service ticket, and time sheets Learn to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals. Understand the importance of providing quality service, inspections and technical support Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. Maintain professional standards in appearance and courtesy towards fellow employees and customers. Qualifications and Skills High School Diploma/GED Strong work ethic and integrity Willingness to learn Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc. Be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Some of this work will be performed in buildings under construction so there will be no heat or ac in the work area. Ability to work a full-time schedule, overtime may be required for this position with short notice. Available for travel, which may include nights and weekends. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation to work location.
REQUIREMENTS
Must pass a state background pass Provide a current copy of your driving record (MVR) from the Department of Public Safety (fee - $25.00) Benefits Salary commensurate with experience Holiday pay Vacation/PTO after 1st year
