Full Job Description Fire Alarm Technician II Job Description:

The Fire Alarm Technician II is a professional position that designs, oversees installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of fire alarm systems Qualifications Prepares plans and specifications for fire alarm systems, interpreting drawings, codes, and standards Performs and/or oversee basic installation of control equipment, peripheral devices, and related hardware Conducts inspections, functional tests, and acceptance testing of fire alarm and suppression systems Performs basic maintenance, diagnostics and resolve system issues, and prepare technical or sales documents Assist in commissioning systems to ensure compliance with NFPA 72 and other applicable standards Support system estimating, technical sales, and documentation for projects Presents a professional image both in personal and vehicle appearance. Performs work assignments in a safe manner and within specified time limits. Promotes, builds, and maintains good customer relations and assists with contract retention. Maintains company property and documentation in accordance with established policies; handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner; Adheres to and supports company policies and procedures including all safety requirements. Keeps abreast of changes and new developments in products and technology. Attends and completes training programs as requested.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of documented work in fire detection and signaling systems. At least 12 months of direct fire alarm systems experience, including: Alarm and detection, Notification systems, Sprinkler monitoring. Interfaces and controls for agent or water-based suppression systems A bility to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height Must be able to carry items up to 75 pounds frequently, bending, crawling, working in small spaces as needed, crouching, standing up to 95% of the time. Must be able to work in different weather conditions, including heat, cold, etc Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis covering after hours & weekend emergency calls.
Additional requirements:
A valid state driver's license, without restrictions, is required. Must be able to pass a background and Drug screen A high school diploma or equivalent is required
