Fire Sprinkler Designer Control Fire Systems - 4.6 Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Construction specifications Construction plans Construction drawing review Computer skills NFPA standards Full Job Description Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team at APIC Solutions. You will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and managing fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, including ongoing data center installations, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Design wet, dry, and pre-action automatic sprinkler systems, including fire pumps, standpipes, and water storage tanks Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure system efficiency and compliance Ensure all sprinkler designs meet NFPA standards, specifications, engineered drawings, and AHJ requirements Review construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications Prepare comprehensive submittal packages for AHJ and Engineers of Record Create stock lists for all materials to be used throughout projects Perform BIM modeling on specific projects and participate in coordination meetings Conduct field surveys of existing buildings and perform on-site visits as needed Communicate effectively with design team members, project managers, general contractors, engineers, and architects Assist field personnel with installation issues and technical questions Prepare all job close-out documentation Operate with minimal supervision while completing designs and submittals in a timely manner About APIC Solutions At APIC Solutions, we are a customer-focused organization that believes in a team approach to develop multi-level relationships with our prospects and customers. to our clients. Required Qualifications Applicable degree from a technical school or college 5+ years of experience as a fire sprinkler designer Experience with specialized fire sprinkler layout software (AutoCAD/HydraCad preferred) NICET II orNICET III
certification, or ability to obtain Strong knowledge of NFPA standards Demonstrated quality computer skills Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with BIM software Experience with data center projects Proficiency in multiple design software platforms Project management experience Required Certifications/Licenses NICET II orNICET III
