Technology Installation & Support Specialist FGT Enterprise dba Willamette Smart Solutions Eugene, OR Job Details Contract $30 - $50 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Windows Network infrastructure Driver's License Manual handling Mobile devices Full Job Description Willamette Smart Solutions is seeking a motivated, dependable Field Technology Specialist to join our growing team. This is an on-call field position responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting residential and commercial technology solutions throughout Oregon. You'll work directly with homeowners and businesses installing Wi-Fi networks, Starlink systems, security cameras, access control, smart home technology, business networking equipment, and other connected technology solutions. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to work with the latest technology while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Install and configure Wi-Fi and mesh networking systems Install and activate Starlink internet systems Install security cameras and video surveillance systems Install and configure access control systems and smart locks Install smart home devices including lighting, thermostats, doorbells, speakers, and automation products Install televisions, networking equipment, routers, switches, and structured cabling Configure Apple, Windows, and smart devices Troubleshoot internet, Wi-Fi, networking, and connected device issues Test, document, and verify completed installations Educate customers on how to use their new technology Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment Travel to residential and commercial client locations throughout Oregon as projects are scheduled Preferred Qualifications Experience installing Wi-Fi and networking equipment Experience with Starlink installations Experience installing security cameras Experience with smart home products Experience with access control or low-voltage systems is a plus Familiarity with Apple, Windows, and mobile devices Strong troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders when required Why Join Us Work with the latest smart home and business technology Flexible, project-based schedule Opportunities to grow with a rapidly expanding technology company Variety of residential and commercial projects Competitive project-based or hourly compensation Training on new technologies and products
