Position Summary We're seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician - Programmer to join our Fire Alarm team. In this role, you'll be responsible for programming, commissioning, servicing, repairing, and maintaining fire alarm systems while ensuring high-quality work, customer satisfaction, and compliance with applicable fire alarm codes and standards. Company vehicle provided. Training may be available for entry-level candidates looking to grow into a lead technician role over time. What You'll Be Doing Program fire alarm systems according to specifications and design requirements while meeting NFPA 72 code requirements Perform service work on fire alarm systems, including device replacement, wiring repairs, circuit troubleshooting, and related repairs Conduct NFPA 72 inspection and testing of fire alarm systems on a scheduled basis Complete required inspection, service, and repair documentation accurately and on time Respond to service calls and perform repair work on existing fire alarm systems Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours service needs Represent Oliver professionally with customers and help build strong customer relationships Participate in education and training classes to continue building technical knowledge and skills What We're Looking For Required Valid driver's license Computer literacy and ability to complete required documentation accurately Ability to read and follow project specifications, system designs, and code requirements Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach Availability to participate in an after-hours on-call schedule Preferred Experience with fire alarm systems, including programming, commissioning, service, repair, inspection, and testing Knowledge of panel programming software; Notifier programming experience preferred Knowledge of installation methods, materials, fire and building codes, and design standards Experience completing NFPA 72 inspection/testing documentation Entry-level candidates will also be considered; training may be provided to support growth into a lead technician role over time What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation ranging from $25-$40 per hour, based on experience, education, and certifications Company vehicle provided for Programmer Technicians Medical, dental, and prescription benefits offered after 30 days of employment Paid time off and company holidays 100% company-funded profit-sharing program Training and development opportunities to continue growing your technical skills Why Oliver We're proud of the culture we've built at Oliver.
