This is a remote/work-from-home position for candidates located in the Greater Cincinnati area, with occasional travel required for site surveys, hydrant flow testing, and project coordination. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fire sprinkler system design and the ability to manage projects from concept through completion. Duties Design fire sprinkler systems using SprinkCAD Prepare detailed shop drawings, calculations, and submittal packages Perform hydraulic calculations and system analysis Conduct site surveys and fire hydrant flow tests as needed Coordinate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and AHJs Manage projects from design through approval and release Assist with scheduling, timelines, and project documentation Travel to job sites as required (primarily regional) Experience NICET Level II (or higher) in Water-Based Systems Layout 3+ years of fire sprinkler design experience Proficiency in SprinkCAD (required) Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards Ability to perform hydraulic calculations independently Ability to perform fire hydrant flow tests Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a remote environment NICET Level III (a plus) Experience with commercial, industrial, and/or multi-family projects Familiarity with permitting processes and AHJ coordination Prior project management experience Apply today to join a team that values expertise, independence, and high-quality fire protection design.
