Candidates must currently reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our Irvine, CA office. About Us Barton Integration is a fast growing low voltage integration company based in Irvine, California. We specialize in security systems, access control, commercial fire alarm, network infrastructure, and AV systems for commercial construction projects. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a skilled AutoCAD Drafter to support our engineering and project teams with high quality technical documentation. Position Overview The Low Voltage AutoCAD Drafter is responsible for producing accurate, code compliant drawings and submittal packages across multiple low voltage disciplines. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret construction documents, and effective coordination with internal teams. The position is remote first with possibility of in-office meetings, job walks, and team event participation. Key Responsibilities Develop and revise complete submittal packages for security, access control, fire alarm, network infrastructure, and AV systems using AutoCAD Create floor plans, riser diagrams, device layouts, and wiring details Interpret engineering markups, site plans, and specifications to produce accurate drawings Coordinate with sales, project managers, engineers, and field teams to incorporate design changes Maintain organized drawing files and ensure documentation stays current Assist with submittals, as builts, and project closeout documentation Ensure drawings comply with California Building Codes, NFPA standards, and National Electrical Code requirements Support the team in other areas as needed during slower drafting periods Qualifications 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in low voltage and/or fire systems Working knowledge of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, or structured cabling systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Effective communication and coordination skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with electrical contractors or integrators Associate degree or technical certification in drafting or related field NICET Certification is a plus Benefits Health Insurance, Vision Insurance, Dental Insurance IRA with Company Matching Monthly Coffee Subscription
