Low Voltage Technician Coast Technology San Jose, CA Job Details Part-time | Contract $40 - $50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Tuition reimbursement Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication CCTV System design Project coordination Driver's License IT Manual handling Full Job Description A leading Technology / Low Voltage Services company is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to help serve our rapidly growing Multifamily / Mixed use construction market in California. The company is headquartered in Carlsbad, CA and we have many active projects underway in the Orange County, Inland Empire, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Northern California. This position will be a combination of remote working as well as site visits as needed to help identify and resolve customer service requests and project coordination items. We will absolutely hire and train the right candidate, but the Must Have Qualifications below are non-negotiable. In addition, this role will initially be part time and / or 1099 to start and can develop into a full-time role. This will not be a boring 9-5 role, but rather very flexible on timeframes throughout the week. The most important factor will be completing the assigned tasks on time with the upmost professionalism for our customers. Qualifications (Must Haves): Passionate about learning new technology and how to best service our client's Technology / LV needs Loves to break things…just to put them back together and learn how they work! Enjoys a professional, but mostly fun work environment Qualifications (Ideal): Solid understanding of Low Voltage Systems i.e. Structured Cabling (Phone, Data, CATV), Access Controls, and CCTV Knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting low voltage cabling, terminations, etc as it relates to the above LV systems. General knowledge of IT Data Systems i.e. data networks (wireless / wired) and IP communications Understands the detailed concepts and technical intricacies of Low Voltage Systems i.e. 12 and 24 VDC connectivity, cabling requirements, design elements Ability to technically test and troubleshoot the IT / Low Voltage Systems as required General working knowledge of Systems designs and programming as it relates to IT, Access Controls and CCTV Ability to interact professionally with subcontractors, architects, and other industry professionals Ability to read construction drawings, Scopes of Work, and all related plans Excellent communication skills (all formats) which includes establishing positive relationships with customers Valid CA driver's license and a good driving record Ability to lift over 50 pounds independently Reliable transportation
