POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Low Voltage Technology Junior Designer with strong communication and customer service skills. Under direct supervision, the incumbent will assist in the design, engineering, and project management of various low voltage systems, including: Voice, data, and IP structured cabling systems Access control systems Alarm monitoring systems Closed-circuit video surveillance systems Intrusion detection and prevention systems Exterior and parking emergency call systems Security intercom and communication systems Security systems infrastructure solutions The Junior Designer will also support the development of telecommunications facility designs (MPOE, MDF, IDF, TR), security control room layouts, and facility improvements related to low voltage systems. Responsibilities include participating in bid walks, assisting in bid evaluations, and supporting contract award recommendations. Additional duties include preparing floor plans and detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, as well as coordinating and supporting the installation of low voltage system solutions. The candidate will assist in analyzing and defining structured cabling and security system requirements based on workflow evaluations, client needs, emerging technologies, and cost-benefit considerations. Responsibilities also include contributing to technical documentation such as specifications, statements of work, studies, reports, conceptual and detailed designs, construction drawings, and complete documentation packages.
Experience:
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the design and implementation of structured cabling and security systems projects is required, including at least one (1) year in a lead role or performing technically advanced low voltage systems work. Familiarity with industry codes and standards related to low voltage systems is required. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks independently, and deliver work on schedule and within budget. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of engineering drawing standards and design practices. Requirements:
License/Certificate:
Certification in Low Voltage and/or Security Systems, or a similar industry certification, is preferred.
Driver License:

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
