full-time Company Description Overwatch Security Advisors (OSA) is a low-voltage datacomm, security, and fiber installation and integration company that also develops security-focused software applications. The organization partners with clients on both physical and cyber security, providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments and a full 360-degree view of asset protection. OSA's team includes strategic advisors with over 150 years of combined security and risk planning experience, supporting projects from pre-construction bidding and RCDD design to installation and oversight. The company manages electronic security, fiber, datacomm, and physical security projects, including guard booths and structural contracting. OSA also specializes in security planning and training for churches, schools, institutions, government facilities, stadiums, and large events. Role Description This part-time, on-site Technician role is based in the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area. The Technician will support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems, including electronic security, datacomm, and fiber infrastructure. Typical tasks include assisting with pre-install site reviews, running and terminating cables, mounting and configuring security devices, and verifying system functionality. The role includes working with senior technicians and project managers to follow design plans, adhere to safety and quality standards, document work performed, and support ongoing service calls. The Technician will interact with clients and team members on-site, ensuring that installations are completed efficiently, professionally, and in line with project specifications. Qualifications Ability to work with low-voltage, datacomm, and basic fiber installation tasks, including cable routing and terminations. Understanding of electronic security systems such as cameras, access control, alarms, and related hardware installation. Basic knowledge of physical security concepts and willingness to assist with guard booth, structural, and general security project work. Comfort reading simple plans or diagrams and following technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality on job sites. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Reliable transportation to various sites within the Columbia, SC Metropolitan Area and ability to work flexible part-time hours. Prior experience in low-voltage, security, or construction environments is preferred; relevant certifications or trade training are a plus.
