Responsibilities Install, configure, and test electrical security systems such as alarm & access control systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and fire alarm systems. Troubleshoot and repair complex security equipment using hand tools, power tools, and technical troubleshooting support. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical wiring diagrams to ensure precise system installation and integration. Conduct routine maintenance checks and system upgrades to optimize performance and reliability. Provide technical support and guidance to customers on system operation, remote access software, and system design modifications. Assist in cabling, low-voltage electrical wiring, and electrical blueprint reading for seamless integration of security components. Maintain detailed records of installations, repairs, inspections, and service reports for compliance and quality assurance. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in electrical security system installation and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with CCTV surveillance equipment, sensors, IDS systems, fire alarms, and door security system integration. Proficiency in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical blueprints related to low-voltage electrical systems. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and electrical wiring for system installation. Knowledge of computer hardware related to security systems as well as computer networking fundamentals for remote access software setup. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Physical ability to perform installations that require climbing ladders or working in confined spaces. Valid experience with low-voltage electrical wiring standards and electrical experience necessary for safe system setup.
