## Standard Job Description Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions. Dismantles machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools; moves machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools; constructs foundations; aligns machines; performs routine inspection and maintenance and may replace worn or broken parts and reassemble. Assists in the overhaul and repair of complex mechanical equipment as needed. You will be the Facilities & Fire Protection Specialist for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Location. Our team is responsible for maintenance, inspection and repair of the Lockheed Martin Greenville facility. What You Will Be Doing As the Facilities & Fire Protection Specialist you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and servicing site fire protection systems to the prescribed standards, Fire system checks in accordance with local and state fire code, identifying code and system deficiencies, preparing accurate and timely inspection reports, performing on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of site fire sprinklers system, managing projects focused on fire system upgrades. Technician will gather data from existing and new equipment that can be entered into LMBuildings. This data will be used to set Preventative Maintenance schedules and maintenance activities. Technician must possess skills to direct day to day activities of sub-contractors or vendors and be able to communicate with all personnel at any level.
  • Security clearance will need to be obtained within the first year.
  • Candidate must be available to respond to off hour calls and emergencies, and be able to adjust schedule as necessary to perform job duties around business tempo needs.
  • Candidate may be required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and perform work from ground level to overhead.
This position requires frequent standing for long periods, walking, stooping, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and twisting.

Strong working knowledge of Wet, Dry, Pre-action, and Deluge fire sprinkler systems to make necessary adjustments or repairs. Complete understanding of inspection and testing of Sprinkler and/or Fire Alarm systems per NFPAs. Experience and knowledge of fire alarm components tied into sprinkler systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes related to fire sprinkler systems. Ability to collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues that will ensure efficient installation and operation of fire systems in a mature professional manner. Ability to educate management/ leadership on preventative care and regular maintenance to prevent system malfunctions. Knowledge of fire systems and tools. ## Desired Skills NICET Certifications in Water-Based systems and/or Fire Alarms and Signaling Code Degree from an accredited school in a related field
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
