Job Description

Description:
The Helper supports the fire sprinkler installation team by assisting with the layout, preparation, and installation of fire sprinkler systems on job sites. This is an entry-level position suited for individuals interested in beginning a career in the skilled trades. No prior experience is required - on the job training will be provided, including opportunities to learn about sprinkler systems, pipefitting, and mechanical installation practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in staging tools, materials, and equipment for daily work Help measure, cut, and prep piping materials under supervision Support the installation of sprinkler pipe systems Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools Use basic hand and power tools safely Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE Assist fire sprinkler fitters during fabrication and installation tasks Load and unload job site deliveries as needed Perform general labor duties and other support functions as directed by the foreman or lead fitter
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in fire sprinkler or general construction is a plus, but not required Basic knowledge of tools and measuring techniques Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record to travel to multiple job sites Must own standard industry hand tools. Commitment to safety protocols and teamwork Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal team members Demonstrate a team-first attitude and eager to take on new challenges Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment
Work Conditions:
Work performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and construction environments Typical workweek is Monday-Thursday, with potential for overtime or weekend work based on project needs
Work Location:
We serve the entire Upstate of South Carolina and occasionally neighboring states. This role requires travel to job sites as needed, with no daily reporting to the main office in
