JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fire Alarm Technician tests, repairs, and inspects fire detection systems. He or she must provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform installation, programming, repair, testing, and inspection of fire detection and signaling systems on a scheduled basis Completes all services following manufacturer instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies and procedures Schedules inspections with customers as required Provides documentation of inspections for Company records, customer records, authorities with jurisdiction, and any other entity required Communicates discrepancies, necessary system repairs, and other important issues to the Company and the customer Follows up to ensure that suggested repairs to systems are performed EFI Markets services to existing and potential customers Trains Technician Trainees as assigned Commits to work until obligations are met, which may result in overtime Completes continuing education necessary to maintain current certifications and/or licenses as required for position Adheres to ALL Company Standards and Procedures, including the Controlled Substances and Alcohol Standard
QUALIFICATIONS
/Certifications (Required): NICET Level III or IV Fire Alarm Systems certification EST3 or EST4 certification Advanced programming capabilities in fire alarm systems
Technical Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with fire alarm systems Comprehensive knowledge of fire protection codes and standards (NFPA 72, local jurisdiction codes) Expert-level proficiency in system programming, troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostics Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record In compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, we maintain a drug-free workplace and operate a Drug-Free Workplace program. $24.48 - $45.00 per hour
