In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of security systems, including electronic security devices, surveillance equipment, access control systems, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Your expertise will help safeguard assets, enhance physical security measures, and support clients with technical troubleshooting support. Duties Install, configure, and service electronic security systems such as CCTV cameras, intrusion detection systems (IDS), alarm systems, access control hardware, and fire alarm systems. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, electrical blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately install and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems. Conduct routine maintenance checks on security equipment and perform troubleshooting to resolve system malfunctions promptly. Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform cabling, electrical wiring, sensor placement, and equipment mounting tasks. Provide remote access software support for system diagnostics and system design adjustments to optimize security coverage. Collaborate with clients to interpret their needs and deliver tailored security solutions while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Document all installation procedures, maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations accurately for record-keeping purposes. Experience Proven experience as a service technician specializing in electrical security system installation and maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience working with computer hardware, sensors, CCTV systems, alarm & access control systems. Familiarity with low-voltage electrical wiring, cabling techniques, schematics interpretation, and reading electrical blueprints. Knowledge of telecommunication protocols, network configurations related to security systems, and remote access software tools. Experience troubleshooting physical security systems such as door security system integration and surveillance equipment in various environments. Construction experience or background working with low-voltage electrical systems in building projects is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and apply NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during installations. Service technician experience in the security industry is preferred; candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
