This energetic position involves installing and pre-wiring smart security solutions, ensuring seamless integration of surveillance, sensors, alarms, and audio/visual systems. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to deliver top-tier service that enhances home safety and security. Responsibilities Install prewiring for security systems including cameras, sensors, alarms, audio/visual devices, and low voltage cabling in residential settings Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately plan wiring layouts and system designs Use hand tools and power tools to run cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits efficiently and safely Troubleshoot equipment issues during installation by diagnosing wiring faults or hardware malfunctions Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local building codes during all wiring activities Collaborate with project teams to coordinate installation schedules and meet project deadlines Provide technical troubleshooting support for system design adjustments or installation challenges Skills Strong knowledge of computer networking, telecommunication systems, and remote access software for system configuration and troubleshooting Mechanical aptitude combined with construction experience for effective cable routing and equipment placement Proficiency in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction plans Experience with alarm & access control systems, CCTV surveillance setups, sensors, fire alarm wiring, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and security system integration Familiarity with low voltage wiring practices, cabling techniques, electrical experience, and the use of hand tools including power tools such as drills and saws Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues related to security system hardware or cabling faults efficiently Knowledge of locksmithing principles related to electronic locks and door access control devices Understanding of NEC standards for electrical installations in residential or commercial environments Excellent communication skills for providing technical support to clients or team members during installation processes Embark on a rewarding career where your technical skills help safeguard homes while advancing your expertise in smart security technology.
