PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for evaluating, organizing, and leading all preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, maintenance projects, and emergency repair needs of District fire-related systems
QUALIFICATIONS
HighSchool graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required Musthavevalid Texas driver's license Maintain a satisfactory driving record that meets the standards of the District's insurance policy TexasState Fire Alarm Technicians license (FAL) required TexasState Fire Alarm Planning Superintendent license (APS) preferred Fiveyears fire alarm maintenance experience
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Plans, assigns, schedules, and leads the work of fire alarm technicians engaged in installation, preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, and emergency repair of District fire systems Maintain the automatic fire alarm and sprinkler systems Operate, test, and/or repair fire alarm and suppression systems Detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel Readandinterpret blueprints and shop drawings related to fire alarm and suppression systems Followall AISD safety procedures as covered in AISD safety handbook Abidebyall AISD policies and procedures as outlined in AISD auxiliary employee handbook Assumeresponsibility for safe operation and care of assigned service vehicle, tools and equipment Assumeresponsibility for personal time card Assumeresponsibility for maintenance and repair of all AISD physical facilities and structures, programmed maintenance procedures, and assigned zone Maintain all physical buildings and structures i.e.; carpet, tile, toilet partitions, sheetrock, brick, roofs, blinds, ceiling tile/grid as directed by department foreman Coordinate, organize and complete daily assignments assuming responsibility for proper documentation regarding assigned task, work orders and procurement of supplies Initiate work orders within assigned zones as needs are recognized by zone employee Coordinate, organize, complete daily tasks assuming responsibility for proper documentation for assigned work orders Supervise and give daily directives to building maintenance personnel Position may require overtime, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities Position will respond to service calls in a timely manner while serving on-call duty, as necessary to maintain function of District facilities Respondto emergencies at anytime Anyotherduties as may be directed by your immediate supervisor and/or any other supervisor within your line of authority
JOB DUTIES
Plan, organize, and maintain the operation of all AISD facilities as required to meet department responsibilities.

EQUIPMENT USED
Allofthe following, associated with the building trade, but not limited to: power tools i.e.: drills, saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man lifts, scaffolds, ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, trenchers, and concrete saws.
ENVIRONMENT
Will workin, under, around, and outside of all AISD facilities, will be exposed to all outside conditions found in this region of Texas, exposure to dust, chemicals, and other materials and slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, move throughout the room and or facility, communicate verbally and electronically, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, ability to work overhead, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and or crawl; climb; balance, and drive. Employee may be required to work on knees from time to time. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift or exert force of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust and focus. Mustbeable to safely tolerate the elements as required for the craft. Be able to work off scaffolding and a minimum of 20-foot ladder.
