This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, apply your technical expertise, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of fire codes will help us maintain compliance with industry standards while providing reliable fire protection solutions to our clients. Duties Install fire alarm systems, including proprietary control panels, sensors, and related components, following detailed schematics and blueprints. Conduct system design reviews to ensure proper integration with building infrastructure and compliance with NFPA standards and local fire codes. Read electrical blueprints, schematics, and CAD drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Perform fire alarm system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with NFPA standards and manufacturer guidelines. Inspect construction sites to verify building code compliance and ensure proper installation practices for sprinkler systems, low voltage wiring, and electrical work. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently and safely. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system features, conducting system testing, and addressing client questions or concerns during installation or service visits. Skills Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and electrical blueprint reading. Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, including sensors, proprietary control panels, and NFPA standards. Experience with CAD software for system design and layout planning. Familiarity with sprinkler systems, fire codes and regulations, building code compliance, and low voltage electrical work. Mechanical knowledge related to fire sprinkler fitting and system integration. Hands-on experience with field service activities such as troubleshooting alarms, sensor calibration, and system testing. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing equipment safely and effectively. Understanding of electrical work principles aligned with NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills for engineering troubleshooting of complex fire alarm systems. Customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients during installation or maintenance visits. Knowledge of alarm system sales processes related to fire alarm sales opportunities.
