We are seeking a skilled and dependable Access Control Technician to install, program, service, and maintain electronic access control, CCTV, and integrated security systems for commercial, residential and industrial customers. The ideal candidate has experience with low-voltage wiring, troubleshooting security systems, and delivering exceptional customer service. Must maintain high standard of workmanship to ensure project quality and minimize rework. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems, card readers, electric locks, maglocks, door hardware, and request-to-exit devices. Install and service IP and analog CCTV camera systems. Perform preventive maintenance, system testing, and repairs. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications. Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, and security cable). Program and commission access control software and hardware. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues. Complete service reports, documentation, and project updates. Communicate professionally with customers and project managers. Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies. Qualifications 2+ years of experience installing or servicing access control and security systems. Knowledge of access control platforms such as Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo, Openpath, Kantech, or similar. Experience with IP networking, TCP/IP, PoE, and basic network troubleshooting. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and cable testing equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift to 50 pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and in various weather conditions. Low Voltage License (where required) Manufacturer certifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience integrating access control with CCTV and intrusion systems
