We are seeking a skilled, passionate Installation Technician to join our growing field service team. Position Summary As a High-Security Installation Technician, you will install, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced access control, automated gate systems, and remote commercial camera networks. You will work both independently and collaboratively across industrial, commercial, and high-security sites. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, field service experience, and an absolute commitment to service excellence.

Required to report to the office every morning at 8:00 AM sharp before dispatching to the field.

Up to 50% travel required.

Key Responsibilities Daily Dispatch:

Report to the Manor, TX office every morning at 8:00 AM to review daily logistics, organize necessary gear, and coordinate with the dispatch team before leaving for field assignments.

Perimeter Access Control:

Install, wire, and configure heavy-duty perimeter access control systems, with a strong focus on LiftMaster commercial gate operators and automated entry systems.

Remote Camera Integration:

Set up, mount, and integrate high-end remote surveillance camera configurations and video analytics software (e.g., Avigilon / Motorola Solutions ecosystems, etc.).

Technical Execution:

Read and accurately interpret technical schematics, physical system blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Low Voltage Cabling:

Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage communication cabling in strict compliance with NEC safety standards.

Field Troubleshooting:

Conduct field diagnostics and emergency service visits to quickly resolve issues with existing camera, gate, or alarm systems.

Documentation & Safety:

Maintain clean, structured logs of all work completed, service histories, and component inventory used at each job site.

Required Qualifications Reliable Transportation/Punctuality:

Absolute reliability in reporting to the Manor, TX office by 8:00 AM daily.

Hardware Proficiency:

Direct, hands-on experience installing or servicing LiftMaster automated gates, remote IP cameras (Avigilon / Motorola), and commercial security hardware.

Industry Experience:

Proven field experience as a low voltage technician or service technician within the physical security, commercial gate, or telecommunications industry.

Technical Skills:

Robust mechanical knowledge, comfortable handling both specialized power tools and electrical multimeter testers.

Travel Flexibility:

Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% of the time for regional site deployments.

Site Adaptability:

Ability to safely operate and adapt within heavy commercial construction sites, varying outdoor weather conditions, and high-security perimeters. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with hardware fulfillment networks and logistics (e.g., sourcing parts through Anixter distributed networks). Advanced knowledge of physical locksmithing techniques, mechanical strikes, or magnetic locks. Industry certifications for advanced video management or smart automated gate operators.
