Duties Install fire alarm systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical blueprints, ensuring precise placement of sensors, alarms, control panels, and related components Read and interpret construction drawings, CAD (Computer-Aided Design) models, and engineering schematics to plan system layouts effectively Conduct system design assessments to determine optimal placement of sensors, sprinklers, and other fire detection devices in compliance with NFPA standards and local building codes Perform fire alarm system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs using hand tools and power tools to ensure reliable operation Inspect construction sites for building code compliance related to fire alarm installation and coordinate with construction teams for seamless integration Test proprietary fire alarm control panels and sensors to verify functionality; perform calibration as needed for optimal performance Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system features to clients, training end-users on system operation, and addressing any concerns promptly Experience Proven experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, or service technician roles within construction or building management environments Strong knowledge of fire codes and regulations including NFPA standards; familiarity with low voltage electrical work and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings; experience with CAD software is highly desirable Mechanical knowledge related to sprinkler systems installation and integration with fire alarm systems is a plus Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting, sensors calibration, and electrical troubleshooting in complex systems Excellent field service skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using engineering troubleshooting techniques Prior experience in construction inspection or working on projects involving sprinkler systems or fire alarm sales is advantageous Valid license as a Fire Alarm Installer; familiarity with proprietary fire alarm control panels preferred Strong customer service orientation combined with effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members confidently Join us if you're passionate about safety technology!
