Job Description

Job Summary Zion Fire Protection is hiring a Fire Alarm Technician to join our growing team in North Texas. Responsibilities Install, program, service, and troubleshoot commercial fire alarm system (addressable & conventional) Perform NFPA 72 inspections and complete electronic reports via ServiceTrade or tablet Read and interpret plans, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics Ensure compliance with fire codes and standards (NFPA 72, NEC, local AHJs) Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and clients on job sites Mentor helpers and apprentices to build the next generation of field techs Remain open to cross-training in voice evacuation, sprinkler controls, and special hazards systems Requirements Current Texas FAL license with minimum of 2 years experience NICET Level I preferred - NICET Level II mandatory within 6 months (we pay for it) Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail Coachable, dependable, and able to work independently Valid driver's license with clean driving record Willingness to mentor junior techs and grow as a leader
