Fire Alarm License Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Senior Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Technician with active Texas FAL and FEL-A licenses. This role handles inspections, installation, service, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial and industrial fire protection systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, code-focused, and comfortable working independently while supporting junior technicians as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, test, install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm and suppression systems
  • Diagnose system issues and complete efficient, accurate repairs
  • Complete inspection reports, deficiency notes, and required documentation
  • Perform work in compliance with NFPA standards, Texas regulations, and company procedures
  • Communicate system status, deficiencies, and repair recommendations to customers
  • Mentor junior technicians and provide field support when needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle - Regulatory compliance of DOT and FMCSA standards
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Texas FAL license
  • Active Texas FEL-A license
  • 5+ years of fire alarm and/or fire suppression experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, Texas regulations, and local fire safety requirements
  • Experience with fire alarm panels, devices, suppression systems, and related components
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience mentoring or training technicians
  • Ability to manage service calls from diagnosis through completion
  • Additional fire protection certifications or manufacturer training
