Fire Alarm License Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Senior Fire Alarm & Fire Suppression Technician with active Texas FAL and FEL-A licenses. This role handles inspections, installation, service, troubleshooting, and repairs for commercial and industrial fire protection systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, code-focused, and comfortable working independently while supporting junior technicians as needed.Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm and suppression systems
- Diagnose system issues and complete efficient, accurate repairs
- Complete inspection reports, deficiency notes, and required documentation
- Perform work in compliance with NFPA standards, Texas regulations, and company procedures
- Communicate system status, deficiencies, and repair recommendations to customers
- Mentor junior technicians and provide field support when needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle - Regulatory compliance of DOT and FMCSA standards
Required Qualifications:
- Active Texas FAL license
- Active Texas FEL-A license
- 5+ years of fire alarm and/or fire suppression experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, Texas regulations, and local fire safety requirements
- Experience with fire alarm panels, devices, suppression systems, and related components
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience mentoring or training technicians
- Ability to manage service calls from diagnosis through completion
- Additional fire protection certifications or manufacturer training
