The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing security camera systems, structured data cabling, and electronic access control systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience with low-voltage installations and can work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship. Responsibilities Install IP security camera and video surveillance systems Install, route, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 structured cabling Install and wire electronic door access control systems Install card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, and related equipment Install and connect NVRs, PoE switches, network equipment, and other security system components Troubleshoot cameras, cabling, network connectivity, and access control systems Read and follow basic wiring diagrams, floor plans, and installation drawings Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other installation equipment Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and other trades Follow job-site safety requirements and company installation standards Complete service calls, repairs, upgrades, and new installations as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in low-voltage, security systems, structured cabling, access control, or a related field Hands-on experience installing security cameras and/or access control systems Experience terminating and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Basic understanding of IP networking and PoE Ability to troubleshoot low-voltage systems and wiring Ability to read basic plans and diagrams Comfortable working from ladders and lifts Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check, if required for customer sites
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
