Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Camera Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining a variety of security systems, including CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, access control, and low-voltage electrical wiring. Your expertise will ensure our clients' physical and electronic security measures operate seamlessly, providing peace of mind and enhanced safety. Duties Install and configure security camera systems, including CCTV, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and alarm & access control systems. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints to accurately wire low-voltage electrical systems. Troubleshoot equipment issues related to security systems, CCTV cameras, sensors, and networking components using hand tools and power tools. Conduct system testing, calibration, and remote access software setup to ensure optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on existing security infrastructure while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide technical troubleshooting support during installation and service calls. Maintain detailed service records, installation documentation, and compliance reports for each project. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in electrical security system installation and troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics related to low-voltage electrical wiring. Hands-on experience with CCTV surveillance systems, alarm & access control systems, fire alarm integration, and door security system integration. Knowledge of computer hardware, networking principles, remote access software, and telecommunication systems relevant to security installations. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with NEC standards is preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and equipment troubleshooting procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in field service environments. Physical ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required by installation sites; valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites.
