We're expanding into data centers in VA. Join Flash Security Integrators Inc and help deliver reliable, professional security installations that protect people, property, and data.
Role Overview Position:
Low Voltage Security Technician Location:
Virginia Employment Type:
Hourly, full-time Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and commission electronic security systems: CCTV, access control, intrusion and alarm systems. Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to keep systems operating to spec. Diagnose and repair system faults; replace defective components and update firmware/configuration. Read and follow technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and installation standards. Provide client-facing support including basic system training and clear, professional communication.
Document work thoroughly:
service reports, checklists, and job closeouts. Follow safety protocols and company procedures on every job site.
Required Qualifications Minimum:
Proven hands-on experience in electronic security installation and service.
Technical knowledge:
Access control, CCTV/IP cameras, alarm systems, and basic networking.
Certifications:
OSHA 30 and Aerial Lift Training required; ESA, NICET, or manufacturer certs preferred. Tools & skills: Comfortable with multimeters, cable testers, power tools, terminations, and testing.
Other:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record; high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience Experience with IP networking and structured cabling. Prior work on combined Access Control, Burglar/Fire Alarm, and IP Security Camera systems. Ability to lead small crews or train junior technicians.
