  • _The pay rate for this job is $22 - $22 / hour
  • _ •What you'll be doing as a Fire Watcher /
Hole Watcher:
  • + Monitor for fire hazards while other employees are working + Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room + In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm and notify the plant control room + Ensure you and other employees know the location of fire-fighting equipment + Maintain constant communication and keep visual and voice contact with other employees + Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids + Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time.
+ Do not leave the job site unattended while work is being done; if you must leave, ensure coverage is maintained + Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties + Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules
