In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems to meet all safety codes and standards. Your expertise will help protect lives and property by ensuring fire detection systems operate flawlessly. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with construction and service teams, and develop your skills in fire alarm system design and field service. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, test, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications, schematics, and local codes. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, system design documents, and CAD drawings to accurately execute installations. Conduct construction inspections to verify proper system integration with building infrastructure. Perform routine maintenance and system testing to ensure optimal performance of sensors, alarms, control panels, and low voltage wiring. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to complete installations efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with construction teams during new builds or renovations to integrate fire alarm systems seamlessly. Document all service activities thoroughly in logs and reports; communicate effectively with clients regarding system status or sales opportunities for alarm or fire alarm systems. Requirements Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or service technician working with fire alarm systems. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage wiring, sensors, schematics, and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, CAD drawings, and system design documents accurately. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in construction inspection or fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable. Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting alarms, sensor calibration, and system testing. Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and effectively. Excellent understanding of fire alarm components such as control panels, sensors, alarms, and low voltage wiring. Strong communication skills for client interactions; sales experience related to fire alarm or alarm system sales is a plus. Join us if you're passionate about safety technology!
