Job Description

Securitas Technology is seeking an Installation Technician II to install, configure, and service integrated electronic security and life safety systems for commercial and enterprise clients. In this field-based role, you will run and terminate low-voltage cabling, mount and program cameras, access control, and intrusion devices, and perform system testing and commissioning. You'll interpret plans and work orders, troubleshoot issues, and train customers on basic system use. Working within a safety- and integrity-focused culture, you'll collaborate with project teams, follow rigorous safety standards, and grow your technical skills with cutting-edge security technologies. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and label cabling and low-voltage wiring for security and life safety systems Mount, program, and test video surveillance, access control, and intrusion devices Read and interpret plans, wiring diagrams, and work orders to complete installations to spec Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues during and after installation Verify system functionality through testing, commissioning, and customer sign-off Train end users on basic operation of installed systems and monitoring platforms Document work performed, materials used, and configuration details accurately Follow all company, customer, and OSHA safety standards on job sites Collaborate with project managers and senior technicians to meet project timelines Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in good working order Required Skills Low-voltage wiring Electronic security systems installation Video surveillance configuration Access control systems Intrusion detection systems Networked security devices System testing and troubleshooting Reading technical drawings/blueprints Hand and power tool operation Customer communication and training
