Low Voltage Technician Diederich Security is looking for a motivated and dependable Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with security systems, low-voltage wiring, troubleshooting, and customer service. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and is willing to learn and grow with the company. Position Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic security systems. Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e/Cat6 and security wiring. Install and service security cameras (CCTV/IP), access control systems, alarm systems, intercoms, and related equipment. Mount and wire security devices, control panels, readers, sensors, cameras, and other system components. Read and follow wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation specifications. Test and troubleshoot wiring, devices, power supplies, communication issues, and system components. Program and configure security equipment as required. Perform system testing and ensure installations operate properly before completing the job. Communicate professionally with customers and explain system operation and basic troubleshooting. Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, and material usage. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work independently as well as with other technicians, project managers, and customers. Follow all company safety procedures, manufacturer specifications, and applicable codes. Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good working condition. Perform other duties related to security and low-voltage installation and service as assigned. Qualifications Previous low-voltage, electrical, security, networking, or related experience preferred. Experience with security cameras, access control, alarm systems, or structured cabling is a plus. Basic understanding of electrical concepts and low-voltage wiring. Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to work from ladders and lifts and in ceilings, crawl spaces, and other job-site environments. Ability to lift equipment and materials as required. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Dependable, professional, and able to work independently. Willingness to learn new technologies and security systems.
