We are currently looking to hire a full-time Body Shop Technician. We are primarily a full-service collision repair facility and work on vehicles from pickup trucks to buses and up to class 9 vehicles. We also install and service hydraulic equipment like liftgates, booms, and hoist/dumps. As an upfitter, we modify existing fleet vehicles with additional equipment, but also fabricate from scratch to meet our customer's request. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Must have prior body shop experience. The candidate will need to be able to work on their own or as a team. The ability to diagnose repairs on both body/physical damage to vehicle and successfully plan the repair is needed.
Other requirements include:
  • Lift up to 75 pounds
  • Work in a noisy environment
  • Understanding and use of personal protective equipment
  • Operate basic tools and desire to learn how to use the following shop tools: Welder, grinder, band saw, calipers, plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene torch, DA, rivet gun, floor puller
  • Comfortably operate medium and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Read repair orders and design schematics
  • Teardown, repair and reassemble vehicles Your daily duties will include working by yourself on solo repairs, but you will also have the opportunity to work under the direction of supervision and guidance from our Master Mechanic, who has over 40 years of experience.
You will be receiving on the job training in hydraulics, suspension (including overhauls, trailer alignments, wheel end work [hubs, bearings, seals, etc.]), electrical wiring, brakes and other essential diagnostics.
Pay:
$18.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
