FULL-TIME CARBON BODYWORK TECHNICIAN

Body shop hands. Carbon fiber parts. A steady hourly paycheck. If you can take a panel from rough to paint-ready and spot a pinhole from across the booth, we want to talk to you. IN THE BODY SHOP YOU... AT PSE YOU

WILL... Feather edge and block sand body panels Block sand cured carbon handles to a smooth, even surface Fill pinholes and low spots with filler and glaze Fill pinholes, voids and low spots with epoxy filler Clean, degrease and mask for the booth Wash, degrease and mask handles before paint Spray primer, base and clear Spray primer and color, touch up, and film dip Catch defects under the lights before delivery Inspect every part before it moves to the next step

WHAT YOU WILL DO

■ Fill and fair: Sand, fill and block cured carbon fiber handles until every surface is paint-ready ■ Fix defects: Find and repair pinholes, dry spots, low spots, resin runs and mold lines ■ Mix and apply: Mix epoxy fillers and skim coats and apply them cleanly and consistently ■ Prep for paint: Wash, degrease and mask parts, and keep contamination out of the finish ■

Paint:

Spray primer and color, touch up, and film dip as needed ■ Own your quality: Count and inspect parts before they move on, and flag anything that is not right ■ Keep the paperwork straight: Follow the Manufacturing Order (MO) routing and fill out the daily move log ■ Work safe: Follow department safety rules, including respirator and PPE use ■ Pitch in: Help other departments when the schedule calls for it

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU NEED

■ High school diploma or GED ■ Must be able to pass a background check ■ Ability to read, write, speak and understand English ■ Comfort with hand tools, DA sanders and spray guns ■ Ability to wear a respirator (fit testing provided) ■ A sharp eye for detail and pride in a clean finish

BIG PLUS IF YOU HAVE

✓ Auto body, collision or paint prep experience ✓ Fiberglass or gelcoat repair (boats, RVs, surfboards) ✓ Composites or carbon fiber finishing ✓ Spray gun and paint booth experience ✓ I-CAR or ASE refinish training ✓ Any manufacturing experience

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

We will be straight with you. This is shop work, and it looks a lot like a body shop: ■ Lifting 25 lbs. or more, and long periods of standing, sitting or walking ■ Daily use of handheld tools such as sanders and paint guns ■ Exposure to paint fumes, sanding dust and carbon fiber dust ■ Work near high temperature cure ovens ■ PPE provided: respirators, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection.

PAY AND BENEFITS PAY
