Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM No weekends

Compensation:

Hourly or commission-based, discussed during the in-person interview Responsibilities Work closely with the master technician to identify the repairs needed to restore damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Perform R&I (Remove and Install) and R&R (Remove and Replace) procedures according to OEM repair requirements. Perform diagnostic testing to identify and correct vehicle issues. Review vehicles after teardown with the estimator or blueprint technician to ensure all damage is properly documented. Identify and report additional damage throughout the repair process. Follow all shop safety procedures and workplace standards. Confirm that repairs are complete and vehicles are properly prepared before entering the paint department. Follow the shop's quality-control process and sign off on vehicles before they move to the next department. Review completed repairs with the master technician and management to ensure they meet shop quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized body department. Move vehicles out of the shop each morning and return them inside at the end of the workday. Transport vehicles to and from sublet vendors for alignments, tire mounting and balancing, and other services. Inspect and check in parts at the time of delivery to confirm they are correct, compatible, and free from damage. Perform bodywork, including traditional dent repair and body-filler application. Assist with repairs involving classic and specialty vehicles when needed. Skills and Requirements Minimum of five years of auto body repair experience. I-CAR certification is preferred. Valid California driver's license and a clean driving record. Must own the tools necessary to perform the position. Ability to read and understand OEM automotive repair procedures. Experience with classic-car repair and body-filler work is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Honest, dependable, and professional. Positive and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and noisy shop environment. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift for extended periods while performing repairs and inspections.
