Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using advanced fabrication techniques. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels with precision. Conduct auto painting, sanding, and refinishing using airless paint spraying and other automotive cosmetic repair tools. Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and body panels while ensuring proper fitment and alignment. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized sheet metal tools to execute repairs efficiently and accurately. Apply auto restoration techniques to bring classic or damaged vehicles back to showroom quality standards. Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes, estimates, and customer communication to ensure transparency and quality control. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician in a dealership or collision center environment. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding repair, fabrication, sanding tools, and automotive structural repair. Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, automotive welding equipment, and fabrication repair techniques. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for effective diagnostics and repairs. Familiarity with auto painting processes such as airless paint spraying and automotive refinishing methods. Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks consistently. Excellent customer service skills along with experience in auto estimating or auto parts installation is a plus.
