In this vital role, you will be the key point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, assessing vehicle damage and preparing accurate repair estimates. Your expertise will help streamline the repair process, ensure customer satisfaction, and maximize shop profitability. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of collision or repair needs using computer-aided estimating software. Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including parts, labor, and materials costs, ensuring transparency for customers and insurance companies. Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair procedures, costs, and timelines to foster trust and satisfaction. Collaborate with technicians, mechanics, and service advisors to coordinate repairs and ensure timely completion of work. Upsell additional services such as mechanical repairs, tire services, suspension work, brake repairs, or oil changes to enhance shop revenue. Review insurance claims and negotiate estimates with insurance adjusters when necessary. Maintain organized records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions for compliance and reporting purposes. Requirements Proven experience as an auto body estimator or in a similar role within a dealership or collision repair shop. CDK OEM Experience CCC One Experience Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake systems, and oil changes. Proficiency with estimating software such as CCC ONE or Mitchell is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex repair details clearly. Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and understand automotive repair processes thoroughly. Experience in auto service management or service writing is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types confidently. Knowledge of automotive repairs including tire service and shock absorbers will be beneficial. Strong sales skills with a focus on upselling additional services to maximize revenue opportunities. Cash handling experience preferred for processing payments accurately.
