In this role, you will assist skilled technicians in repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicle exteriors to the highest standards. Your energy and enthusiasm will contribute to delivering exceptional service, ensuring vehicles are returned to their optimal condition. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Assist with auto body repairs by handling minor dent removal, panel alignment, and surface preparation. Support painting processes using conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and other coating equipment. Operate power tools such as grinders, sanders, and buffing machines safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and use of respiratory protection gear. Help with auto glass installation, detailing, and light mechanical tasks as needed to support overall vehicle restoration efforts. Follow safety protocols diligently during all phases of surface preparation, painting, and finishing. Skills Previous dealership or auto body shop experience highly preferred. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, and buffing equipment. Knowledge of automotive surface preparation techniques including masking, sanding, and priming. Experience with automotive painting processes such as spraying coatings and applying finishes. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration projects. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail. Strong customer service skills with a focus on quality workmanship and teamwork.
