In this vital role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert repair techniques, precise craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Duties Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural restoration using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering. Utilize fabrication skills to create or modify parts using sheet metal, power tools, and automotive welding equipment. Use sanding tools and detailing equipment to prepare surfaces for painting or cosmetic repairs, ensuring high-quality results. Assess vehicle damage accurately for auto estimating purposes and communicate repair timelines effectively. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding, sanding, and other repair processes. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or auto repair shop. Knowledge of automotive repair techniques including welding (MIG welding) and fabrication repair methods. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools. Mechanical knowledge. Experience with auto restoration projects is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently with sheet metal, automotive parts, and automotive glass components. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills. Good physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on vehicles for extended periods.
