Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, ensuring vehicles are restored to factory specifications. Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair techniques to repair or replace damaged panels and components. Fabricate custom parts using sheet metal and fabrication repair techniques to match original specifications. Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, sanding, auto painting, and automotive cosmetic repairs to achieve a flawless finish. Use automotive welding equipment and power tools effectively for assembly, auto parts installation, and vehicle maintenance tasks. Apply auto restoration skills to refurbish vintage or damaged vehicles with precision and attention to detail. Assist with auto glass replacement, auto painting including airless paint spraying, and automotive body refinishing processes. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of hand tools or power tools. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process. Requirements Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, dent repair, sheet metal work, and auto restoration techniques. Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, fabrication methods, and automotive welding equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive parts installation. Skilled in using hand tools, sanding tools, power tools, auto painting equipment including airless paint sprayers, and detailing tools. Experience with auto estimating software is a plus but not required. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship under tight deadlines. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on automotive cosmetic repair and refinishing standards. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about repairs needed or completed.
