Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and restoration with a minimum of 10 years experience in various aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition while ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform auto body repairs including frame straightening, panel replacement, and dent removal. Utilize MIG welding techniques for structural repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct mechanical repairs as needed, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge. Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment for various repair tasks. Execute vehicle detailing and assembly work to ensure vehicles are presented in pristine condition. Carry out auto glass replacement and repairs as necessary. Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used for customer estimates. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Assist with heavy lifting during the repair process as required. Qualifications Previous experience in auto body repair or related fields with a minimum of 10 years experience is essential. Proficiency in welding, including MIG welding and soldering techniques. Strong understanding of sheet metal work and fabrication processes. Familiarity with automotive repair practices, including auto painting and detailing. Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and auto estimating practices. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during the repair process. A valid driver's license is preferred.
