Overview Velocity is not your typical restoration shop. Our technicians work in a cutting-edge, climate controlled facility, working primarily with new sheet metal. The talent and dedication of our employees shine through in the exceptional vehicles we produce. Job Level Technician Reports To Paint and Body Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced blocking of body filler, sanding, and primer application.
  • Conduct light body repairs on newly manufactured aftermarket body panels.
  • Remove and install aftermarket body panels, including doors, hoods, and tailgates.
  • Strip, straighten, and accurately gap body panels to precise specifications.
  • short and long blocking techniques and apply body fillers.
  • Properly tape and mask vehicles to protect adjacent panels from overspray.
  • Use materials efficiently and cost-effectively while adhering to company standards.
  • Assist fellow technicians with preparation procedures to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Support the painting team by lifting, preparing, sanding, taping, masking, and cleaning vehicles before they enter the paint booth.
  • Complete all paint preparation processes as outlined in work orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times.
  • Document work by taking clear photographs for customer service and internal records.
  • Arrive on time with a professional appearance, ready to work at start of shift.
  • Adhere to the company dress code and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Complete daily SOS/sign off sheet.
