Job Description

The Boyd Group is seeking an experienced Auto Collision Body Technician to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will perform structural and non-structural repairs, panel replacement, frame and unibody straightening, and refinishing prep to restore vehicles to OEM standards. You'll follow standardized processes, use modern equipment and repair documentation, and collaborate closely with estimators, painters and parts staff. We emphasize safety, quality workmanship, training and continuous improvement, offering clear career paths in a stable, growing collision repair network. Responsibilities Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs to OEM and company standards Conduct frame and unibody straightening using appropriate measuring systems Repair and replace damaged panels, bumpers and related components Complete surface preparation for refinishing, including filler, sanding and priming Document repair processes and work closely with estimators on accurate supplements Inspect vehicles for hidden damage and communicate additional repair needs Follow all shop safety, environmental and housekeeping procedures Use OEM procedures and technical data to guide repair decisions Collaborate with painters, parts staff and other technicians to ensure timely delivery Participate in ongoing training and certifications to maintain skills and quality Required Skills Auto body collision repair Frame and structural alignment Dent and panel repair Welding (MIG/spot) Plastic and bumper repair Automotive refinishing prep Use of measuring systems Estimating and repair documentation OEM repair procedures Shop and OSHA safety compliance
