Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Collision Repair Technician to join our dynamic auto body repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after collisions or damage, utilizing advanced repair techniques and automotive welding equipment. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle receives top-quality craftsmanship, safety standards are met, and customer satisfaction is achieved. Duties Perform comprehensive collision repairs including auto body repair, sheet metal fabrication, and automotive structural restoration. Use MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore damaged parts and structures. Fabricate and modify metal components using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and fabrication repair techniques to meet precise specifications. Conduct auto restoration projects involving auto painting, auto body refinishing, sanding, detailing, and automotive cosmetic repairs. Install automotive parts such as panels, bumpers, trim pieces, and perform vehicle maintenance as needed. Apply auto estimating skills to assess damage and determine necessary repairs; communicate effectively with customers regarding repair processes. Handle heavy lifting safely while working on vehicles; utilize airless paint spraying for high-quality finishes. Requirements Proven experience in dealership or professional auto body shop environments as an automotive body technician or collision repair specialist. Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and automotive parts installation processes. Familiarity with automotive structural repair, auto restoration, and sheet metal work. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive painting equipment. Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service principles to ensure positive client interactions. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with auto painting techniques such as airless paint spraying, familiarity with automotive parts installation processes, dealership experience, and certifications related to welding or auto body repair.
