Doral Automotive Group Hialeah, FL Job Details 14 hours ago Qualifications Automotive electrical system repair Automotive diagnostic scan tool usage Equipment repair Driver's License Equipment testing Automotive structural repair Structural systems Hand tools Mechanical systems repair Full Job Description Position Summary The Collision Center Technician is responsible for performing mechanical and structural repairs on collision-damaged vehicles at Ford of Hialeah's collision center. This role works closely with bodymen, painters, and the collision center management team to ensure vehicles are restored to pre-accident condition safely, accurately, and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a technically proficient automotive professional with a strong commitment to quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and perform mechanical repairs on collision-damaged vehicles including suspension, steering, drivetrain, and electrical systems Conduct pre- and post-repair inspections to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer and safety specifications Perform wheel alignments and calibrations following collision repairs Assist with structural repairs and ensure vehicles are restored to OEM specifications Collaborate with bodymen and painters to coordinate repair workflow and timely completion Review repair orders and ensure all work is completed accurately and documented properly Identify and communicate any additional mechanical damage discovered during repairs Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment and tools properly Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and OSHA safety guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times Requirements 2-5 years of automotive technician experience, preferably in a collision center or dealership setting Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural repair procedures ASE certifications are strongly preferred; I-CAR training is a plus Experience with wheel alignments and ADAS calibrations following collision repairs is a plus Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment Ability to work efficiently and meet production goals Must have own set of basic hand tools Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
