Remove and install composite panels, body kits, trim, and mounting hardware, ensuring precise fitment and alignment. Inspect body damage to determine the appropriate resin, mat weight, and lamination technique required for repair. Safely handle hazardous materials (resins, catalysts/MEKP, solvents) and maintain proper respiratory and personal safety standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a fiberglass technician or auto body technician specializing in composite, fiberglass, or Corvette/kit car repair. Strong knowledge of composite fabrication, resin chemistries, gelcoat repair, and body fairing techniques. Proficiency in hand layup, composite panel bonding, grinding, structural laminating, and finish sanding. Familiarity with body fillers, structural adhesives, spray equipment, and surface preparation tools. Ability to operate rotary buffers, pneumatic sanders, air saws, and paint spray guns effectively. Strong attention to symmetry and detail, with hands-on experience in surface preparation and finishing. Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a safety-conscious environment.
