Duties Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and specialized finishes using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools. Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel alignment, welding, and filling to create a smooth surface before painting. Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve a flawless finish after painting. Conduct auto glass replacement or repair as needed to ensure vehicle safety and quality standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including color matching, paint formulas, and repair procedures. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as minor mechanical repairs or detailing to support overall restoration efforts. Requirements Proven experience or auto body shop experience with auto painting and body repair skills. Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques including welding, dent removal, and panel alignment. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and buffing equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes. Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
